Why this is the answer

The United States fought several major wars in the 1900s, and you only need to name one. World War I and World War II were global wars. The Korean War took place in the 1950s and the Vietnam War in the 1960s and 1970s, both during the Cold War. The Persian Gulf War in 1991 pushed Iraqi forces out of Kuwait.
