What is Veterans Day?

In Chinese 什么是退伍军人节(Veterans Day)?

Official answers

  • A holiday to honor people in the (U.S.) military向(美国)军人致敬的节日
  • A holiday to honor people who have served (in the U.S. military)向曾在(美国军队)服役的人致敬的节日

Any one of these answers is accepted unless the question asks for more than one.

Why this is the answer

Veterans Day is a national holiday on November 11. It honors all people who have served in the U.S. military. The date comes from the end of the fighting in World War I on November 11, 1918. Remember the difference: Memorial Day honors those who died in service, while Veterans Day honors everyone who has served.
