2008 civics test · Question 10 of 100 · Principles of American Government

What is freedom of religion?

In Chinese 什么是宗教自由?

Official answer

  • You can practice any religion, or not practice a religion.你可以信奉任何宗教,也可以不信奉宗教。

Why this is the answer

Freedom of religion, protected by the First Amendment, means you can practice any religion you choose, or not practice any religion at all. The government cannot force a religion on people and cannot punish them for their beliefs. Remember both halves of the answer: any religion, or none.
