Why this is the answer

The writers of the Constitution drew on earlier documents and ideas. Examples include the Declaration of Independence, the Articles of Confederation (the first, weaker national government), the Mayflower Compact (an early agreement on self-government), the Virginia Declaration of Rights, the Fundamental Orders of Connecticut and the Iroquois Great Law of Peace. The Federalist and Anti-Federalist Papers were essays debating the Constitution. Name any one.
